Beacon Health System and the Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center (OSMC) are collaborating on a new $15.1 million ambulatory surgery center that will be constructed west of Beacon Granger Hospital in Granger.
The Surgery Center of Granger will be located on a 4.65-acre site on the north side of Beacon Parkway near the Indiana Toll Road entrance and Capital Avenue. Ground has been broken on the project.
The 23,130-square-foot, one-story building will be designed to accommodate growing patient demand and will create a destination for orthopedics and pain management in the region. The surgery center is projected to open in the fall of 2022, with four operating rooms and two procedure rooms.
Beacon Health and OSMC have been discussing the future of orthopedic services in northern Indiana for many months. This joint venture reflects the vision of these leading healthcare providers and a commitment to provide the highest quality care to patients in a convenient location.

The project is being managed by Panzica Building Corporation.
